Duke-Margolis event to explore state of real-world evidence policy
On July 25, 2024, the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy will hold their annual public event discussing their latest activities within real-world data and real-world evidence (RWD/E) policy developments.
The ‘2024 Duke-Margolis Convening on the State of Real-World Evidence Policy’ will take place virtually on Thursday, July 25, 2024 (12 – 4:45 PM ET).
This year, the event will focus on several key topics:
- Barriers to accessing high-quality RWD for regulatory decisions: Discussing the challenges and potential solutions in obtaining reliable RWD for regulatory purposes.
- Applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in RWE studies: Exploring how AI can enhance the accuracy and efficiency of RWE for regulatory use.
- Opportunities to leverage RWD and RWE for informing payment and coverage decisions on novel technologies: Highlighting how RWE can influence policy and decision-making in health care.
Attendees will also hear about the latest initiatives from the Duke-Margolis Real-World Evidence Collaborative, including recent white papers and the International Harmonization of RWE Standards Dashboard.
