The Innovation and Value Initiative has rebranded as the Center for Innovation & Value Research, reflecting a renewed commitment to patient-centered health technology assessment and equitable health care.

The Innovation and Value Initiative (IVI), a non-profit research organization dedicated to advancing health technology assessment (HTA) in health care, has announced its rebranding as the Center for Innovation & Value Research (the Center).

Established in 2016, the Center has been at the forefront of developing and integrating pioneering methods in HTA. Over the years, it has played a crucial role in incorporating patient perspectives into healthcare decision-making processes, making HTA a cornerstone of informed decision-making for healthcare interventions, research, and policy making. Recent initiatives include advancing its Patient-Centered Economic Impacts Project, which aims to address the critical issue of these factors that are often overlooked in research and decision-making processes. As the conversation around HTA in the US progresses, the Center will contribute valuable insights and perspectives to this ongoing discussion.

The rebranding reflects the Center’s maturation and its continued commitment to excellence in advancing research and innovation in health care. Jason Spangler, MD, MPH, FACPM, Chief Executive Officer of the Center, emphasized this commitment, stating,

“As we enter this new chapter, our commitment to excellence remains resolute. We are dedicated to leading the way in innovative research, ensuring that our work not only advances the field but also makes a tangible difference in people’s lives.”

The Center aims to transform the US healthcare system by fostering a future that is more equitable, transparent, and patient-centered. Through the integration of patient viewpoints in decision-making and treatment options, the Center strives to ensure that healthcare outcomes are equitable and that all patients have access to high-quality care, regardless of their background or circumstances.

The revamped website and new branding elements are designed to better represent the Center’s mission and facilitate greater engagement with stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, policymakers, and researchers. These changes aim to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact in the healthcare community, fostering collaboration and innovation.
